'The HERD GAMES' - for Tekton Athletes Only


2015 EVENTS:  

The Herd Games will start at 10 am sharp and the gym will be open at 9 am for any of you that would like to warm-up before hand. We will have an official briefing of all workouts at the completition of the prior workouts last heat. Briefing for first workout will happen at 9:50am. Heats will be based off of first come first serve for the first 3 scored events then male/female heats for the 4th scored event. If for any reason you would need to scale the workouts below is fine your scores will just not be eligable to podium but we want and encourage you to compete even if that is the case!  

First scored event workout:  
-6 minutes to establish a 1rm of the following complex.  
  -1 Power clean + 2 Dead Lifts + 1 Squat Clean  
*in order for a repitition to count we need to see full lockout of the hips and knees at the end of each rep, below parallel on the sqaut clean, and the full complex needs to be touch and go(very strict).  
* you can attempt as many times as you want, decrease or increase however you feel.  

Second & third scored event:  
-2 minutes of max double unders (4 singles=1 double under)/2nd scored event  
-1 minute rest  
-4 minutes to establish a 1 rep max box jump(for height)/3rd scored event  

Fourth scored event:  
-Brandy  
-75 reps fortime  
-1st minute burpees  
-the remainder of the time power snatches(75/55)  
-TIME CAP 10 MINUTES  
-Once the clock starts each athlete will have 1 minute to do as many burpees as possible that will subtract reps from the 75 power snatches(75/55).  Example: Athelete Joe Schmo does 20 burpees in the first minute he will start his snatches at 20 instead of 0. Leaving him with 55 snatches to do afteer completeing his minute of burpees. Athlete joe blow does 1 burpee in the first minute he will then have 74 snatches to do after the minute is up. There will be no rest between the burpees and snatches so strategize wisely.
